Lets Celebrate Learning plus a Christmas Greeting

Hello

Today, for Sheilas wonderful 'Lets Celebrate' theme at AJJ I have this watercolour with a little added Neocrayon which came about from an exercise in a wonderful book called 'Expressive painting in Mixed Media' by Soraya French.
The wording added is digital.
I'm celebrating 'learning' - as my 'painting' knowledge is pretty limited so the art books I am reading at present are to help inspire and also teach me everything I need to know about paints, mediums and equipment. I really want to learn everything I can!

Not long until the 25th, so if you are celebrating, I will wish you and your family
a very Merry Christmas and hope you have a wonderful time and Happy Holiday!

  6. I am in LOVE with your painting. I also am so impressed with your digital skills. You have truly created something beautiful with those flowers. It's great that you are learning about mediums, textures, and lots more, too. I'm in need of a good lesson in those, too.

I love both your trees and was so impressed to be able to put a face with a name. That Christmas layout was fabulous.

Thanks for sharing your beautiful flowers with us at Art Journal Journey. That painting is definitely cause for celebration.

Hope you have a lovely Christmas, too, dear Gill.

  7. Such a wonderful painting, I love how you left the white space to create those pretty flowers and the way you blended the paint to create such a colourful display is amazing! I enjoy learning too it's one of the reasons I love art journaling so much, there is so much variety and technique to learn and experiment with - I love it 😁. Happy learning and wishing you and yours a wonderful Christmas filled with love and joy dear friend! J 😊 x
