Hello....
I am behind today after staying up late watching the Olympics opening ceremony. At about 3.15am I could barely keep my eyes open. I had a quick look at the sky before retiring to bed as it was a clear, twinkling starry sky - I saw a shooting star - I would have liked to have stayed longer but I was too tired.

Todays piece for AJJ 'Nature’s Wonders’ is all digital.
The perfect start to my day is watching a beautiful sunrise. Listening to the birds singing when its quiet, before everyone else is awake makes it extra magical.
Photo of this glorious sunrise from our bedroom window, the hand modelled by my lovely hubby Dave and other digital embellishments from a G&T Designs digikit called ‘The Artists memories’. Font used called ‘Precious’.
Then I wondered what the skies would be like if pollution got so toxic and it affected nature too.
So I used my photo again but reversed it... then did some colour changes using my favourite software... added and blended one of my paintings. Added some digital bits I made from a few years back. The grungy flowers and leaves I made with paper and then photographed them and digitally cut them out.
I recoloured my bee a blue/green to make it look toxic and another bee totally distorted with some digital effects. The quote is part of one of my poems.
It's a foregone conclusion that the sun comes up and goes down every day, even though we may not always be able to see it. Without the sun, our land, water and air would be frozen solid.
Life is pretty amazing!
Thank you for stopping by

Both pieces are lovely. You know how I love the sunrise, it is really a very special time of day. The second piece is good, and makes you think, we all need to do something before it's too late. Have a great day, and enjoy your Olympia programmes. Hugs, Valerie

Two gorgeous pages, I loved your added words on both of them. Your sunrise would have warmed my grumpy penguins today.
ReplyDeleteWe've been watching the cycling today, although we didn't stay up, we saw the Olympic opening ceremony on repeat this morning.
