The lovely Jo from Let's Art Journal is hosting this months Flora and Fauna theme at AJJ
which is a great theme that I shall enjoy this month. For my first piece I've a water colour on cartridge paper with digitally added a quote.
Thanks for stopping by today...
I hope your weather is better than ours here
and you have a lovely day.

Wow, you watercolour pages are amazing! I love the colours you used and how you blended them to create your beautiful wildflowers 😀. I was so delighted to see you joining Art Journal Journey, thanks so much! The weather is sunny here today with quite a cool breeze so we still needed to wear a wooly hat for our walk along the beach ...lol 😉. Thanks again and wishing you a happy and creative week! J 😊
ReplyDeleteYour journal spread and quote is really beautiful. Have a great May, hugs, Valerie

I was removing weeds in my garden but maybe I have to wait. I don't want to remove something so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWatercolor is my Waterloo! Yours are great, so pretty!
ReplyDeleteWonderful watercolour art Gill, and I love the quote! Reminds me of our wild and abandoned garden! Lol! I did buy some new gardening gloves and a weeding tool in the pound shop yesterday though :-)
ReplyDeleteHoping for that sunshine at the weekend, I'm so fed up of being cold!

I LOVE this quote Gill. And I think your watercolor flowers are gorgeous. I love how you made them big and bold. :) It will be a fun challenge this month for sure! Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteHi Gill, I like the flowers you have painted very much and the quote as well!

A beautiful water colour journal spread, I love how the colours blended together.
ReplyDeleteWe have had a rather wet and windy day, but it promises to improve soon.
Hope all is well with you.

Absolutely stunning watercolors and beautifully painted flowers. I love the concept of weeds to wildflowers, and these are so bright and cheery, too. I'm thrilled you chose to join us today at Art Journal Journey, Gill.
ReplyDeleteYour colors glow, Gill! Beautiful pages!!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, the weather here in the Pacific NW US is really nice today.
Lovely watercolor and fabulous quote! I hope you have a wonderful weekend Gill!
ReplyDeleteBeautifully painted watercolour flowers. I love the sentiment too!
ReplyDeleteYour watercolours are lovely and this would make a superb framed picture with each page sided by side.
ReplyDeleteI'm always peering at weeds to see if they are really some unusual seedlings, sometimes it works. So I'll take your advice and leave the weeds a little bit longer just in case.
Hope you and Dave are having a nice sunny day. It's too hot here, haha!
You have chosen beautiful colors for your wild watercolor flowers and the quote is wonderful! Two lovely pages!
ReplyDeleteOur weather here in Austria is full of sunshine what means I have too much work in the garden :)
Liebe Grüße, Rike xx
Wonderful paintings and such vibrant colours.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog :)
