Nature's Wonders are beautiful and free......

Hello... hope you are having a lovely Sunday

It started off fairly sunny but now it's a bit overcast. It's a typical day here, meaning that I am up and down to feed the birds as usual. The Blackbirds are the main ones that get special treats at present (fat pellets and currants) because otherwise the Starlings will clear everything and stop the other birds getting any if they have easy access to it.
What a treat for me to be amongst nature as well - and my daily entertainment is free!

So this is for August AJJ 'Nature's Wonders' challenge
A digital piece showing some more photos of a lovely trusting Starling.
If you saw my opening piece for AJJ  you will know that one summer I was lucky to have a Robin feeding on my hand for several weeks. I noticed the starling had been watching me with the Robin and after the Robin had flown off with a mouthful of food, I continued to hold my hand out and within no time the starling also landed. For about half an hour he came back and forth to me collecting food and Dave managed to get a few nice photos.
The digikit used very appropriately is called 'Nature's Wonders'  by Dee Bee Designs

Nature's wonders are beautiful and free
.... and here is that Robin.

I wish I could make a little goodie bag to fill with little treats,
lightweight enough so that the birds could carry them away.

I hope you enjoyed todays page and photos

many thanks for stopping by...
Wishing you a wonderful week ahead
Gill x

  6. This is AMAZIING!!! Wonderful that the birds came to eat from your hand! Unique!
I feed the birds here also the whole year long but they are much to cautious - and would not be patient enough I fear to bring them to eat from my hands.
So lovely to see those pictures - thank you - and the digital page you made with that nice starling is gorgeous!
Happy new week Gill and thank you so much for so many ideas and pieces this month!
I am thrilled about your engagement!♥♥♥

    1. aww thank you :) Yes that's me..it took a bit of patience and time for the Robin to trust me - but my most treasured bird adventure was with a pair of Collared Doves and lasted a couple of years.
