Where is Autumn?

Hi everyone...
Today I have a digital piece for AJJ theme Indian Summer/Golden October/Autumn  hosted by the lovely Valerie.  Using my favourite software I blended several images (clip art collected over the years) and added leaves from various dig-kits and then the quote I found made me also think of candles so I blended in some of my photos of  floating candles.
I'd love to see an autumn like this but the view from my window still doesn't look very autumnal and is quite green.

Anyone making Christmas cards yet? Every year I find it a more stressful chore and don't always enjoy making them so I thought I'd make a concerted effect to get the job done. I've made about 53 most fairly simple (although I still have all the insides to stamp and trim  arghhh that'll be fun!) and ideally I think I needed about 68 but I think the rest will have to make do with shop ones.

Thank you for taking the time to visit
Gill xx

Good for you to have made so many cards, I have made a few digital ones to send via the internet, but making some is still a distant thought.

  4. Wow that's such an atmospheric scene Gill but you're right, it's not very Autumnal here at the moment. I've made one Christmas card sort of by accident and that's my lot!!

  6. Oh yes, I THOUGHT of making Christmas cards but then I thought how silly to think about something like that in October... But obviously it was not silly - you have made a lot of them up to now... But why on earth (would you say so?) do you do so many cards when this means stress for you??
Are you sure that this 53 (!!!) people will honour this cards? Do they know how much work and love is in each of it?
    I love your collage!!!
And I'm sure autumn will come with its wonderful colours -just a bit later....
    Ciao Beo

I've started making Christmas cards too, it's the first time I'm making them in larger quantities and they all have a similar look and feel. I've made about 24 so far of 6 different designs - it's been fun :-). Have a great week! J :-)

  13. What a fabulous scene - the sky! and the calm sea! and the floating candles, what a fun addition.
I always say I won't make Christmas cards this year, then change my mind in early December, but I only make them for the few people I know will appreciate them. You've made 53 so far - 53! and I don't think they look simple at all, they look great.
Autumn has come quite suddenly here with the lovely tree colours, so it should be travelling down your way soon.
