L for Lion

Today I have another page for Rikes great Animals A-Z theme  at AJJ

I used a mix of collage, gelli print which got a bit lost and painting using Neo colour 1 & 2's, Gelatos, and acrylic inks and added description from dictionary. The lion was from an old calendar.

Below was when the gelli print started to get lost

Thanks for stopping by

  6. This King of the Jungle looks rather cool and, may I say, rather feminine (but don't say that to him (as if you would)). He looks as if he standing outside a gorgeously decorated cave, looking great.

  8. Your lion looks so regal. He is truly the king of the jungle. Ironically, we in the states name our school or college teams with mascots. My high school was Lyons Lions and my first university was Missouri Southern Lions. I've grown up around lions and they are still a favorite animal. Thanks for sharing this king with us at Art Journal Journey.

  9. He does look regal in his crown and cape. I don't know which kitty is more regal, him or the tiger, but I guess really they both are in their own places. Your Gelli print might have gotten lost but the background is great. Nice page. The hardest thing about this challenge for me is picking what animals to make pagees about. There's so many good ones. :) hugs-Erika
