this is probably my last one for AJJ this month for the Flora and Fauna theme hosted by the lovely Jo from Let's Art Journal.
It is a water colour with a tiny bit of liquid acrylic green ink added to some leaves and stems.
And as Moon Mania still has 'even more flowers' for their theme I shall link to them as well :)

Ooh la la - so pretty, Gill!

ReplyDeleteI wish you a nice evening, big hugs, Caty
Such a beautiful painting - I love it! Your forget-me-nots look so amazing in their pretty blue hues and the way you applied and blended the paints is perfect, they remind me of the ones that are flowering right now 😁. I hope you have had a wonderful bank holiday weekend, we have been blessed with sunshine and hotter temperatures too. Thanks so much for all your fabulous creations for AJJ this month, I really appreciate all your support and kind comments! Have a happy and creative new week! J 😊 x
ReplyDeleteI love these flowers also Gill. They look wild and like they love the warm weather- I think that is the effect of using watercolors-the way you can almost see them growing in the painting. Hope you are having a great start to the week.Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteSo pretty - the vibrancy of the green is amazing against the blue . Just BEAUTIFUL flowers Gill, so expressive and impressive at once!! I am really happy you had another wonderful painting linked to the current theme! Thank you very much! Wishing you a happy evening dear Gill!

ReplyDeleteHoly cow, Gill. The painting is out of this world. I'm in awe and love how you created the flowers and the leaves. It's a gorgeous entry. Thank you for linking this to Art Journal Journey. We appreciate this latest entry.
ReplyDeleteJust love the painting and we have loads of forget-me-knots in our garden. I keep thinking I have pulled all of them up each but they always return.

This is just lovely, Gill, and you've captured the blue of forget-me-nots perfectly. They seem to be flowering especially well this year. Interesting idea to mix liquid acrylics with the watercolours.
ReplyDeleteIts a beautiful water colour Gill, the forget me knots look so pretty, this is nature on a page bringing the outdoors inside.
