Creature Comforts and an apology

Hello

For Linda from 'heartfully inspired' theme   Creature Comforts at AJJ I made a digital piece created using one of my paintings of girls face with additional digital elements used from a few kits by Serif.
Digital art/scrapping is what I'd consider to me, a creature comfort as besides being fun, its easy to produce something quick if I am short of time or need to stay tidy for some reaosn and not get all my all my real art stuff out.

Sorry - I really meant to post last month and say that I probably wouldn't be joining in with any challenges or blogging much for a while as I am busy trying to catch up with jobs not done during the hot weather and also I am busy de-cluttering.

  2. She's gorgeous Gill. I love those green eyes. You also got nose right. I can't get noses right and so I am studying yours to see how you did it. Thanks for that. She makes me think of Mother Nature. Hope you are having success decluttering and enjoying the autumn this year. Hugs-Erika

I am really pleased about your wonderful entry for the October collection over at Art Journal Journey! Have a great weekend and a wonderful rest of October my friend!

  4. I love your amazing digital collage, because you used your own painted face and added so many lovely details!
Yes, I also fall in love with digital painting the last weeks - to produce something quick if I am short of time and it's not necessary to get all my real art stuff out.
    Wish you a happy weekend!
    Liebe Grüße, Rike

  6. A very beautiful page, the digital additions look amazing, it looks a magical fairyland scene in her hair.
It is good to use the computer to create when you don't have your craft goodies to hand.

  7. Hi Gill-
I didn't know how to reach you otherwise but I wanted to respond to the wildlife comments you left on my blog. Wow. I think that is so cool they are showing a tv program about NH. We do have a lot of wildlife around here that we live with-including those amazing pileated woodpeckers and even bald eagles. I don't see either of them on a daily basis but relatively often. You know what is funny though, I live about an hour away from Squam Lake and I have never been there. Guess I need to put it on my list. Thanks for filling me in about the show. There is a show here called northwoods law about our fish and game people but I don't know if you can see it outside of the us. Anyhow I really appreciate hearing about all you have seen and I like it that New Hampshire's beauty is getting more of a bigger showing. Hope its been a good weekend. Hugs-Erika

  8. Well I for one am glad that you popped in to say hello with your very fine portrait. Her digital headband is very lovely and I like her digital(?) necklace too. I agree with Yvonne, she does look rather magical.
Have a happy time with your decluttering.

And, yuck - we've got a big list of things to do that should have been done during those hot summer months. Best of luck with the catch up!

  11. Although I’m still not well, I apologize for taking so long to visit. I am just now making it out of bed.

You should definitely feel proud of your digital journal page. The woman's head dress is to die for. It's truly a fun image. It was definitely worth me getting out of bed for, since I'm rubbish with digital and you are a master at it. Thanks for sharing it with us at Art Journal Journey, Gill.
