New Year - New Adventures

Hello

I hope your New Year has started well...
at  AJJ the theme is New Year, New Adventures   and this month the lovely Erika from BioArtGal is hosting.
Every new year I seem to say I'm going to do such and such and then never remember what I said at the end of the year. This year I'm giving it more thought for achievable things I can keep up which I will tell of in another post... but some adventures have already begun!

So my page for AJJ this time was made with Portfolio water soluble crayons, watercolour paints, white candle as a resist and then lastly I digitally added the word art.

and also linking to Moo Mania where the theme is
WELCOME Somebody / Something / The New Year

thanks for stopping by

  1. I love this page. It is true for me because I find that my goals and projects for the year find me, not the other way around. And sometimes it takes a month or so before I know what they are. I love the colors you chose for this page Gill, and using a white candle is brilliant. it's a nice addition. Thanks for joining us at AJJ too. Hugs-Erika

  2. This is simply stunning Gill. I just discovered water soluble crayons last year and they are so fun. You did a fantastic job with the painting and watercolors, too. I'm really loving this and it fits Erika's theme so well. Thanks for joining us at Art Journal Journey with this beautiful first entry.

I am with you about this intentions --- I do nearly the same. Never do I make New Year's resolutions - except of doing more of what makes me HAPPY!!!
I love the use of the resist here and the loose, artsy style with the Portfolio crayons.
Thank you very much for such a beautiful entry for Erika's theme dear Gill!

  7. Hi Gill, thanks for your comment on my page. I can sympathise with the grotty weather, as I'm just across the Thames from you in Kent. Glad the wind has died down!
