A single flower number 3

Wasn't sure I'd get to post this as my old P.C despite some TLC seems to be on it's last legs and having hot flushes especially on warmer days :)

So this is probably my last mixed piece of art for Sheila aka Orange Esmeralda Single flower theme this month over at Art Journal Journey ... and as what's lately become my 'norm'- this is mixed media with digital additions. Created using: watercolours/acrylics, distress inks, acrylic ink, Neo2 colors and inktense pencils/bars, Pilot&Posca pens and digital quotes.

a couple more pieces from 2020

Thanks so much for stopping by...
I know I'm already behind, but will try and catch up/visit
 when poss..or I can get a new p.c.
Until next time...
stay safe...
Gill x

  1. Love this intense color tulip page! My mouth kept dropping open farther and farther as I read the massive list of color supplies you used creating the page. That’s mixed media to the highest level. I love the subtle red writing in the background. The leaves are super spotted fun. Isn’t that sentiment perfect for an art journal. Well done!

  2. That is a beautiful single flower digital page Gill. I love the big tulip and that interesting background. Your other pieces from 202 are wonderful also. My computer was doing the same thing-having the hot flashes that is. I finally went and got something else for fear it would totally crash on me. Good luck with your machine. And hope all else is well. Thanks for sharing with us at AJJ. Hugs-Erika

  3. Thanks very much for this lovely tulip for my theme at AJJ, Gill. I love the background with these bright colours and all the little bits and strips and text which create so much of interest. I like the dotted bright green leaves too, they are fun.
Your ladies are beautiful and wise too, with their gorgeous flowers, the pretty pink roses and your own special orange ones.
Hope your PC lasts a bit longer until you get a new one.

  5. I love the red spring flower. I had a bunch of red and yellow tulips for my birthday in the middle of March. I also love the inspiring quotes for your ladies.

  10. I'm also having problems being online, but mine are beyond my control. I am in total awe of your incredible mixed media beauty. That single flower is amazing. You did a fabulous job painting it. It really spoke to me, as did your incredible other paintings. I'm glad to see you are here in blogland again and also at Art Journal Journey, too.
